Working online for as many years as I have, you meet new food lovers
from all around the world. Recently I was able to have Monika of
Monika's Kitchen write me a new blog recipe for barbecue chicken. She's got the best site on the net all about Chicken. Enjoy and check out Monika's website http://www.easy-chicken-recipe-ideas.com/
From Monika's Kitchen:
I love chicken. And my favorite
way to make it is to barbecue it!
Why do I love bbq chicken?
Well, I love entertaining friends
and a barbecue is the best way. Because, after all, barbecue is not just food:
It’s the good company of friends with smiles on their faces and having a good
time. Right? I’m sure you think the same way
Barbecued chicken is so much more
juicy and tasty.
You can get so many different
flavours making chicken this way. You can use all different kinds of herbs,
spices and SAUCES!
It can be used for salads or main
meals. It goes great with bread, buns, potatos. Use it for kebabs.
With one ingredient you get tons
of options. You’ll never get bored!
Best part?
You can do it year round!
Here’s a BBQ marinade that has
all my favorite flavors in it like lemon, honey, and paprika. This is enough
for four people:
3 teaspoons of honey
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 medium onion cut into very
small pieces
2 cloves of garlic also cut into
very small pieces
Juice of one fresh lemon
1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon of dried parsley
(And if you like, even a little
beer added, tastes great).
So, mix all of the above
ingredients together in a medium bowl as smoothly as possible. Set aside to let
it blend.
Since we’re serving four, we
first wash and dry four boneless chicken breasts. Trim off any unwanted fat.
Place the chicken in the bowl
with the marinade and mix gently.
Store covered in the fridge or a
cool place for about two hours to let the chicken absorb the marinade. This
makes the chicken very juicy and not dry inside. It lets you get a nice crunchy
skin as well as an amazing taste - just a little hot but not too sweet!
I love the juicy bits marinated
in vinegar and spices with all the herbs and seasonings. It’s soooo delicious!
Place on the grill and brown
evenly for about 5-8 minutes each side.
Serve with a salad and some
potatoes.
I’ve used all my favorite flavors
here. Even dieters won’t be able to say no. No arm twisting necessary!
...So, now just make it happen!
:) Ready? 1..2..3....
