Competition BBQ Class



If you have ever wanted to learn how to grill in a Competition this class is for you. The Fundamentals of Championship BBQ class taught by the nationally recognized competition BBQ team Ryhthm 'n' Que, brought to you by Eggs by the Bay. They will show you how to transform meat, smoke, spices and sauce into delicious eats.  Learn the fundamental techniques of competition chicken, ribs, pulled pork and brisket.Topics covered are fire management, meat selection and preparation, including food safety in handling and storage, how injections and marinades are used on contest meats, demonstration of cooking method, developing flavor profile through rubs and sauces. Plus KCBS judging processes and scoring. 

This is one of the best classes being offered in California. Learn everything you'll need from start to finish. Class fees are $345 per person. Rhythm 'n QUE consists of Phoenix residents Vincent Carrocci and Alexa Fairbairn. Using only backyard cookers (4 WSMs) and homemade rubs and sauces, the team has competed successfully across nine states. Since 2008 RnQ has won 22 Grand Championships, 18 Reserve Grand Championships, four invitations to the Jack Daniel's Invitational World Championship, and were the 2008 and 2009 California BBQ Association Team of the Year. Notable wins have included Grand Champion at the inaugural Sam’s Club Invitational in 2010 against the nation’s top KCBS Team of the Year contenders, and First Place Sauce (2010) and 2nd Place Chicken (2008) at “The Jack”.
