Following a successful first run in 2008, the Smokin' Eagles International BBQ Festival promises to be an even larger regional attraction in 2009. With planning underway for the 2009 event in full swing, activities and events being scheduled include: Regional Best of the Best Challenge (Chicken, Ribs, Pork, Brisket) Backyard (Amateurs) Cookoff Pie Baking Contest BBQ Demonstrations & Instruction Live Entertainment Kid's Fun Zone And much more... Out of this contest their will be 1 (one) Grand Champion, this chef will get a plaque, cash award & 1 Ticket to enter the Best of the Best Barbeque Contest which is held in Georgia on Oct. 30-31, 2009 which carries the official National BBQ Championship award and recognition along with a substantial cash award, with a total payout in 2009 of $60,000.00, this ticket has a $400.00 value and the Georgia contest is by invitation only granted with this ticket. This event is contracted by the National BBQ Festival and they will be here in attendance to ensure all rules and regulations are followed.
