| Raiders sign Asomugha |
Good News Raider Fans – Lechler and Asomugha have been resigned. Both player are some to the top guy we have on the team at this point. I worried due to the fact both contracts we up and money is tight for the Raiders. But now I wonder if both players will remain with on the team or will they be traded for draft options or other players. You can never tell what’s going to happen in the off season in Oakland.
Shane Lechler being the top punter in the NFL and one of the all time greats in that position has signed a four year deal which puts him in history. The contract is the greatest ever awarded to punter in the NFL. How much is he getting paid? How about $16 million with $9 million guaranteed. All for kicking the ball and pinning the other team as far back as possible.
Nnamdi Asomugha is the most underrated corner back in the National Football League. He his contract also makes history. He is not just the highest paid corner back on the team but in the entire NFL. He signs a three year - $45.3 million dollar contract with a $28.5 million dollars guaranteed.
Asomugha will be paid $28.5 million for the for two years making Colt quarterback Peyton Manning the second highest paid player in the NFL per season.
Now that Al has spent millions on player that have gone to the pro-bowl, lets see what he can do with the rest of the team. We went out with a bang at the end and if everyone can remember in the past when the Raider won the last two game they have go on the playoffs the next season. ‘LET’S GO RAIDERS’!
