Unwritten Law Swan

Southern California’s once chart topping up and coming band, Unwritten Law is back with a hit record. After a long drought Unwritten Law members have created what could be the best album of their career, but what took so long? Well Scott Russo and the gang have been living the rock & roll lifestyle and like most superstar bands they had some up and downs.

Touring and trying to stay above ground as been the main focus since signing with Suburban Noize Records in 2008 for the release of the Live and Lawless album. They have been a staple band for the Vans Warped Tour, but in the past they’ve been booted off for backstage brawls and inviting fans to toss shit on stage. Also losing band member such as Tony Palermo, the bands second drummer, to Sacramento’s rock band Papa Roach have not helped studio efforts. Front man Scott Russo had some troubles on and off the stage as well. A few years back he was arrested in Florida for smoking pot on stage and then later his house burned to the ground leaving his kids homeless for a period of time. The bands love for drugs and alcohol caused a few setbacks during their self destruction days.

What can you say other then Unwritten Law is Rock and Roll. These guys talk the talk and walk the walk. In today’s fast social media world bands are pumping out crap after crap. You get one good song followed by studio garbage. Scott the band have took a step back to make a album that is good music from start to finish. Never to be shy to bust out a show at any venue the fans have followed these guys around the world. They have been on several international tours make fans everywhere.

Following the Suburban Noize formula of never stop touring or putting out CD’s these guys well keep the bus rolling. The newest album is available on March 29th. Northern California fans can see Unwritten Law on the Warped Tour in San Francisco July 2nd and currently on the Swan Tour hitting Ace of Spades in Sac Town on April 13th then follow them up to Reno at the Knitting Factory and grab a few runs down the slopes before summer hits.
