Ever wondered what it would like to attend a barbecue festival with 100's of teams from all over the world? Imagine thousands of pounds of pork, beef, chicken and the smell sweet smoke surrounding you for days on end. It's a barbecue dream, but its not a dream its Memphis in May. One of the largest barbecue festivals of all times happens once a year during the official month of barbecue. 

Each team is competing for over $100,000 in prize money. Plus they get to brag about winning the big event. Every year the championship is up for grabs. You never know when a new team is going to be crowned World Barbecue Champion. Each team is also competing in booth design and a tshirt contest. So there lots on the line. Teams come from all over the world. Barbecue is becoming a world wide sport.  

Not only is there a ton of BBQ teams but theirs a crazy line up music going on. Groups like Kid Rock, Snoop Lion, Drop Kick Murpheys, Anthrax and bout 60 more will play during the festival. Its a good time had by all. You have to go and experience it once or twice in your life. We can't wait to be one of the teams competing in this event in the coming years.
