Fresh Certified Organic Turkeys are artisanally raised on small family
farms to be the plumpest, juiciest, and most tender birds you could ever
hope to find and enjoy.
A certified organic turkey means that everything each turkey encounters
environmentally and nutritionally is certified organic, including
exclusively organic grains; abundant fresh, chlorine- and fluoride-free
water; and even the ground on which it walks.
Lobel’s turkeys are raised on small Amish and Mennonite farms in rural,
central Pennsylvania, where raising the finest poultry is a long-held
family tradition. The birds are humanely raised in a free-range
environment with plenty of room to roam, forage, grow, and develop
naturally.
Finally, the turkeys are hand-processed in small volumes so greater care
can be taken with each individual bird as it is prepared for market.
The birds are certified organic by the Northeast Organic Farmers
Association and Pennsylvania Certified Organic.
The certified organic grains that form the basis of the turkey’s
all-natural diet are minimally processed to preserve the highest
nutritive value. The birds’ diet is free of any animal-based protein
supplements. And they receive no antibiotics or hormones that
artificially stimulate growth, so they mature to size slowly—as nature
intended.
