Starting at 7am this July 16th the Oakland
Coliseum will be filled with smoke from over 32 teams competing in the first
annual Bay Area BBQ Championship. Total of $6,000 in prize money is on the
line. The Raiderettes and Senator John Burton will be among some of the special
guest attending. Jan Newberry, Liam Mayclem and Morris Bradshaw will be a few
of the celebrity judges.
This event is to help the Alternative Family Services keep
the kids safe. This event is going to be fun for the whole family. Lot of games for the kids to play and lots of barbecue to
enjoy. Ribs, Chicken, and Brisket will be on the grills and in the smoker. Lots
of it. Enjoy the Barbecue before A’s game.
