Baked Bean Dogs with Cheese Bread

Here's a simple little recipe I made up the other night. Perfect for a quick dinner for two or kids.

Yield: 2 Adults for 4 kids

Ingredients:

1       Can of Baked Beans
2       Hot Dogs
2       Slices of Bread
1/2    Small Onion
1/2    Cup of Grated Cheese
2       Teaspoons of Oil

Procedure:

For the Beans
  1. Cut onion into small dice.
  2. Cut Hot Dogs in bite size bits.
  3. Heat a meduim size sauce pan with oil.
  4. Add onions and saute until they are golden brown.
  5. Add Hot Dogs and cook for 1-2 minutes
  6. Add the can of baked beans. I used Van Camp's Bacon Pork and Baked Bean
For the Bread
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 f degrees.
  2. Butter both sides of the bread.
  3. Cover in cheese.
  4. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes to melt and brown the cheese. (add garlic salt for a garlic flavoring)
Add the beans to a bowl and serve with a slice of cheese bread. If serving kids cut the bread in half to get 4 servings.
